| Michael Noggle is an award-winning winemaker with over 30 years experience in growing grapes and 16 years wine making. Educated at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, California, his early aspirations were to become a large animal veterinarian. He obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Sciences and Masters Degree in General Agricultural Sciences. While waiting to enroll in the School of Veterinary Medicine at UC Davis, he ventured into viticulture and enology and discovered his true passion for growing grapes and producing hand-crafted wines. He redirected his academic career and ultimately achieved degrees in Viticulture and Enology from Napa Valley College.
Throughout his early years as a professional vineyard developer and producer of small lots of hobby wine, he and his wife, Karen, developed the dream of having their own vineyard and winery. Their vision became a reality when they purchased the current Noggle Vineyard Estate and began commercially producing ultra premium wine grapes. The 2003 Cabernet Sauvignon presents the premier vintage from Noggle Vineyards and Winery.
