The 2006 estate-grown Cabernet Sauvignon grapes were
harvested at 27 brix and finished with 3.9 PH and 0.60
TA. The wine contains 14.9% alcohol and was cellared in
100% East Bernstadt American Oak barrels for 29 months.
308 cases were bottled. the result is a fruit-forward
wine with deep, rich flavors of dark berry, boysenberry
and caramelized oak with a hint of vanilla. It's
full-bodied and expressive, with elegant, velvety,
delicate characters. It's well balanced with soft
tannins and a lingering finish. This wine is ready
to enjoy now and may be cellared for ten years.
